\*Nihilism is prevalent. Too many people have stripped themselves of what they felt held them back. They have stripped themselves of reason because reason points back to purpose. If there is no purpose then there must be no reason. If there is no reason then what I do, say, and think does not matter. Nihilism at its most aggressive vector denies life has intrinsic value. The other thing I think it has done is formed something of a tyranny of focused nuance. By this I mean there is no nuance in politics. If you think people should be in our country legally you must be a racist. If you think there is global warming then you probably are an idiot. If you voted for Trump you are the enemy and if you voted for Hillary then you are a brittle snowflake. No nuance there at all you can think there is global warming and be intelligent you can also think there is not global warming and still be intelligent. There is evidence for both. The proverbial thermometer goes up and down and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Then you have gender where we demand ultimate nuance and if you do not comply with our tyranny you will be prosecuted. This is silly nuance or not it might do all of us a service for everyone to take a chill pill and read up on the term science denier. I was sitting in my car listening to a nondescript radio program, with a non-descript host, who mentioned a nondescript school shooting and from the back, my eldest asked: "Kids kill kids?" This is one of those talks like the sex talk except this one involves the very world they will inherit. I took them on a journey where kid A is ridiculed by peers and abandoned at home by self-absorbed parents. He or she is weaker than the others so he can't fight back. He is not as quick, so his words are not bright and intellectual often having the comeback come to him as he lays in his bed at night. He struggles, the girls don't like him, the boys ridicule him and when he goes home, no one tells him who he is. He lives a life where his purpose is to be treated badly which is no purpose at all. The great equalizer, in a situation where everything loses meaning, is escalating violence.  _You may have hurt me but when you are dead I will feel relief. I will be satisfied._ This is self-worship of the highest order where kid A is his own god and he will make the human sacrifice to himself. However, the deeper darkness that birthed his worldview is his parents followed closely by uncaring self-absorbed authority, followed closely by his peers; all their own gods worshiping themselves.   So I told my kids this. I told my two charismatic athletic ones their role and how they are to treat others. I told my one who is sweet and kind but set upon by his peers because he does not fight back with rage his role and who he is. I reassured them that they do have meaning purpose that they were created by God and that **every single life matters. All of them.** You may agree or disagree but when you peel back your own skin the thing that rushes forth is blood. When you peel back the meaning in society the thing that rushes forth is blood it just happens to be in the streets. If you learned anything from this know that out there typing on a keyboard is at least one person who knows you are valuable otherwise God would not have made you. _\* Nihilism (/ˈnaɪ.ɪlɪzəm/ or /ˈniːɪlɪzəm/; from the Latin nihil, nothing) is the philosophical viewpoint that suggests the denial or lack of belief towards the reputedly meaningful aspects of life. Most commonly, nihilism is presented in the form of existential nihilism, which argues that life is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value.\[1\] Moral nihilists assert that there is no inherent_ morality, _and that accepted moral values are abstractly contrived. Nihilism may also take epistemological, ontological, or metaphysical forms, meaning respectively that, in some aspect, knowledge is not possible, or reality does not actually exist._
